Welcome to another post by,,, the Sport Masters! This is the mattinator, who will be running you through all the grand finals that have been going on recently, in the state and nationally.
First up, we have the WAFL Grand Final, which was contested by East Fremantle Sharks (Boo!) against the Claremont Tigers. I was favouring Claremont in the game.
This is how the game played out. Claremont were in control at the beggining of the game, and they were smashingthe Sharks at quarter time. But, in the middle of the game, it was very contested, and many people were wondering who would come out on top. But, Claremont pulled away at the end of the game, and they were the winners, with former Docker's star Paul Medal won the best on ground.
And her's the big one, it's the AFL Grand FINAL!!! I hope that everybody out there was as excited about this as I was. It was Sydney versus the Hawthorn Hawks, and all those South Melbourne supporters from times past had come out to barrack for there team. I was favouring Hawthorn.
It was a cracker of a game, with both sides hlding the dominant position for a substantial part of the game. but, in the end, Sydney held true, after it seemed like the Hawks were coming back after a fightback in the third quarter.
Next, I will talk to you about the Rugby Grand Final. Now, for all you Rugby fans out there, I don't follow Rugby, so I wan't talk much about it here. But, I know who won in the end. The Melbourne Storm defeated the Canterbury Bulldogs, and took the trophy back to Melbourne.
